Occupy Wall Street: Trust-fund right-wing media hypocrisy
Washington Post (blog)
Rush Limbaugh, like many outlets in conservative media, has settled on a crowd-pleasing smear against those who participate in the Occupy Wall Street movement. They're a bunch of overprivileged kids living off of their parents' wealth.

Limbaugh is a blowhard but how do you defend the obscenity screaming trust fund baby or the current complaints that protesters are having to account for money being spent.

Not sure what “obscenity screaming trust fund baby” you are talking about, but you defend it with the 1st amendment. Just because Limbaugh or anyone else doesn’t like it, does not make that person subject to a financial audit or other restrictions. Maybe when jingoists say “free speech isn’t free”, they mean, “you aren’t allowed to speak freely until you have undergone an examination of your finances and paid someone”? PACs don’t have to do much accounting, so why does some guy on the street have to tell Limbaugh or anyone else where his money comes from and goes?

This is one time that Limbaugh and even CNN are on the same talking points – they both have reason to make you believe that the protestors are nothing more than spoiled kids, dirty hippies, etc. I think a lot of senior citizens, middle aged angry people, union members, Russel Simmons and other business owners with a sense of ethics are also part of the movement. Think about it – who pays the rent at CNN or even EIB? Of course those “news” agencies and their sponsors wouldn’t want you to know that a rather large majority agrees with the fundamental principles of the movement.
